Cosmetology

I began teaching at CEC in 2007. I have successfully obtained my NM Master Barber/Cosmetology License. My background has been teaching at the local beauty colleges since 1995. I have specialized in preparing barber and beauty colleges students for the NM state exam. I have enjoyed a change of environment when I began teaching at CEC. I have enjoyed not only working with, but sharing the excitement I have had in the beauty profession. My goal as a teacher is to plant the seed and watch each student grow in their own creative way.

I have been blessed to work here with 2 other very talented colleagues. I have been at CEC now six years, and have been in the beauty industry for 21 wonderful years. And I still work behind the chair in a small local salon. I thank you for the opportunity to work with your student and hope to ignite the fire that burns within them for the passion that they have for our industry.

Greetings! I'm thrilled to be teaching high school Cosmetology at CEC. As a former CEC Cosmetology student, I can testify to the Cosmetology Program's unique structure. It is a very well-rounded program, and I am very grateful and excited to be part of this up-and-coming program with a solid team of instructors.
It is also essential to stay up to date with the latest trends, techniques, and needs of our continuously changing industry. I have instructional experience with middle school, High school, and Beauty College students and 15+ years of experience behind the chair in a full-service salon.
I have a passion for working with our youngest learners!! Strengthening each young adult's growth in all areas —academic, social, language, and motor—is a challenge that I am honored to accept daily. I strive to create a fellowship of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive, fun environment.
