How does the ECA Lottery work?

• We’ll draw applicant names during our live lottery drawing on Feb. 5th until all open 9th grade admissions and 10th-12th grade transfer spots are filled.

What happens if our name is selected?

• Monitor your email for an offer of acceptance or notification of waitlist status from our registrar.  Lottery drawing students have until Feb. 19th to accept or decline their offer via email; thereafter, we will move them to the bottom of the waitlist.

• All students new to ECA must take a math placement test, regardless of math credits earned, to determine placement in ECA’s advanced course sequence
• ECA will administer the math assessment four times in the spring:
  • Thursday, March 6^th at 9:00 am or 4:00 pm
  • Thursday, March 27^th at 4:00 pm
  • Saturday, April 12^th at 10:00 am

Once a student has been accepted to ECA and submitted all required paperwork, our registrar will schedule an in-person orientation for the student(s) and their parent/guardian. All accepted students and families must:

• Submit all required paperwork by the stated deadline(s)
• Attend a scheduled New Student Orientation before May 29, 2025
• Review, sign and agree to the ECA Academic Contract 
• Complete the math assessment for placement (see above)
• Attend New Student Jump Start Day (Student only) in early August (Date TBD)
