Letter from the Principal - January 4, 2021
Posted 1/6/21

ECA and CEC Parents,

Happy New Year and Welcome Back to School!!

School begins virtually tomorrow, Tuesday January 5, for all Early College Academy and Career Enrichment Center classes. We are excited to get started for the Spring 2021 semester and anxiously await the day we can return to full face-to-face instruction.

Teachers have been reaching out to their students already with room codes and other information to get the year started. School Administration is available to answer any questions you may have regarding the Spring semester, or any other questions you would like to ask.

Your student and you can check on Synergy (studentvue and parentvue) for class schedule and grades for the past semester. CEC grades have already been posted. ECA grades will be posted on Thursday, January 7. If you have questions regarding grades, please reach out to the class teacher first. The teacher should be able to answer any questions you may have. If you should have additional questions you may reach out to Principal Arguelles or Assistant Principal Floryance.

Our teachers have spent a tremendous amount of time receiving professional development on how to better teach in a virtual classroom and we are very excited to continue providing our ECA and CEC students with the college and career readiness skills necessary to be productive in a 21st century workforce. And while this pandemic has slowed us down, the amount of new material being taught and the level of skill acquisition at CEC and ECA is higher than any of us could have ever hoped for.

Please reach out to us if you have questions or concerns, and please watch for emails about future CEC and ECA Parent Town Halls as well as information about classes available for the 2021-2022 school year. We are going through a dramatic renovation here at CEC and ECA because the district is committed to continuing the tremendous academic and soft skill achievement we do here every day.

Thank you for sending your student to our school – we will always do our best to provide them with knowledge and skills that will help them as they make their way forward in today’s world.

Sincerely,

Patrick Arguelles and Rebekah Floryance
